On December 9th 2023, our AYLUS volunteers came together at a local boba tea shop, Heavenly Kup, to learn and sell milk tea and “Taiyaki” , a fish shaped cake. We also sold Christmas headbands, rings, handmade soap, and beautiful handmade stone bracelets. These were all sold to help support our fundraiser for Children’s medical center at Plano. The event started at 10:30 am, and ended at 10:00 pm. We first started organizing the headbands, bracelets, and rings, as some were doing that, others were starting to help the owner prepare for selling milk tea. At around 12:00 pm there was starting to get a lot of customers, we even started making balloon animals to give out. Around 1:30 we also put up a cotton candy machine. In addition to that it was some of our first time actually making balloon animals, so that was definitely a lot of fun. This makes it a really good time of experiences, and making a bond with all of our team mates.
