Arriving from 9-10 ready to serve, first, the team got the gym ready by bringing out and unfolding tables. Kathleen and Joy helped wash and dry multiple boxes of strawberries to get the food ready before lunch. Once the program started, the team divided and each eagerly stayed with a different kid with a special need, helping teachers get through the lesson. After worship, this particular Saturday, they finished up some Mother’s Day surprises for each family, helping the
children show their love to their moms by making the table with a pink tablecloth, creating an elaborate floral bouquet, choosing presents, creating a poem and flower craft that expressed their love. Once the mothers started arriving they continued serving by encouraging the kids to bestow their mothers with leis and
lots of food. This memorable day displayed the power of God and his love for all of us.
