Since 2022, AYLUS Frisco, a student-led volunteer group, has been advocating for global literacy and education equity.
Donated and shipped over 7,000 PreK-8 books worth $56,000, established 7 libraries, and served over 20,000 students across 6 African countries: South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Botswana, and Lesotho.
We have a community of over 400 volunteers and leaders, partnered with 14 local and national sponsors, contributed over 6,000 hours of service, and earned 29 PVSA Awards, including 15 Gold Awards.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) partners awarded a $3,000 grant for Precision Medicine advocacy and the sign-ups of 750 participants for
the All of Us Program.
Raised $10,000 for the Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s Health℠ Plano.
Starting my role as the AYLUS Frisco president has been a joy.
