On May 24, 2025, Eleven AYLUS volunteers set up our fundraising stand for the Plano Children’s Medical Hospital in Russell Creek park, starting from 6:00 PM and end at 9:00 PM, though one of us left at 8:30. We offered cotton candy, boba tea, and ice cream/ice cream floats as usual. It is the first Saturday in this summer vacation, so at the beginning we haven’t see too many people around here. Possibly parents took kids to visit some family or places. We were seeing more people later on, we usually pack up and leave by 8:30 PM, but today we extended another 30 minutes as we were busy on 8:30. Still the wind was disturbing. Wind flipped over the signs all the time, and during the process of making Cotton candy, we have to create a block to the wind. People are very nice. They saw our signs and knew what we are doing, some of them even let us keep the change. By the end of today, we raised slightly over $100.
