On October 4th, 2025, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, members from the AYLUS Frisco and Plano Branch held a fundraiser at the McKinney Asian Food Festival. They offered services such as face painting and balloon making, as well as selling various accessories like bracelets, rings, and necklaces. We also had a special section with knitted products, with those sales going toward Loops for Love. By offering these services and products, we improved the experience for many eventgoers. Throughout the shift, sales were good and everyone’s spirits were high. Due to an overflow of the same balloon designs, the members making balloons tried their hand at making some other designs. These included designs like hearts and frogs. One thing that could have gone better was the fact that some of the more tricky designs like the bear kept popping, which might have been due to the balloons losing their strength from being outside so long, or the fact that some balloons were overinflated. Nonetheless, we managed to fix this problem by introducing new designs into our selection. Through these hardships and quick adaptations, we hope to have even more designs and ideas next time.
