On Tuesday, October 14th, during the school Fall break, volunteers from AYLUS Frisco-Plano collected books to be shipped to Uganda as part of the African Library Project. These books will be used to create a library at Oketkwer Primary School to serve over 1,500 students and the local community. Volunteers collected books and shipping boxes from their neighborhood, and sorted the donated books into grade levels for pre-K to 4, and 5th to 8th grade, so that they could be packaged and shipped to Uganda.
