On Saturday, November 15, the Frisco/Plano Branch of AYLUS hosted another Art in Action workshop at the library, continuing our preparation for the upcoming holiday fundraising sale. This session focused on creating pipe-cleaner Christmas decorations, including small tree spirals, stars, and simple festive ornaments designed to bring a cheerful winter theme to our charity table.
The activity was hands-on and enjoyable, giving volunteers a chance to experiment with different twists, shapes, and color combinations. Even when certain colors didn’t pair perfectly, everyone adapted quickly and added personal creativity to their designs. The group shared ideas freely, helped each other refine the shapes, and kept a steady pace throughout the afternoon. The teamwork and easy conversation made the session productive and relaxing, and by the end, we had a strong collection of handmade decorations ready for the winter fundraiser.
