On December 13th, 7 AYLUS volunteers helped pack meals at the non-profit Feed My Starving Children. Other volunteer groups joined as well, some were there for the first time. Starting off, every person got a hair net, and watched the orientation video that gave instructions. Then, each volunteer group were assigned to a table. These tables were mini-assembly lines for MannaPacks, the specific formulas for the bags of food. Two AYLUS volunteers did the scooping, two did the bagging, two did the weighing, and two did the sealing. Other jobs such as labeling were done by two AYLUS volunteers as well, and volunteers swapped roles as needed. The session took 2 hours, lasting from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. As the session ended, volunteers helped clean up the tables and floor, as it was the last session of the day. Together, the volunteers packed 104 boxes. Good work, volunteers!
