We set up a small table at the park entrance and invited people arriving at the playground complex to browse backpacks and scarves. While several visitors were uninterested, a handful were excited to support the cause—one even donated around $20 without purchasing anything, and as a thank-you, we gave her a scarf of her choice. We shared that all proceeds would benefit children’s hospitals. Using Zelle and cash, we raised $45 by the end of the event.
