On January 25th, AYLUS volunteers set up a stand at the Plano Event Center to fundraise for childrens’ hospital. At the Event Center, they were holding a Lunar New Year performance, which meant a lot of people would come to go see it (and maybe get something on the way). Our stand included $2 balloon animals, $3 cotton candy, $2-5 crochet animals, $3 rings, and $5 gemstone bracelets. Many people—especially children coming to the show—decided to buy some cotton candy from us before the show started. One person even decided to get FIVE cotton candies at once! The balloon animals, however, seemed to not be selling well—until about an hour in, where they suddenly spiked in popularity!
